Apart from this, donating mustard oil should also be avoided on this day, otherwise health related problems may occur. Donating salt should be avoided on Amavasya Tithi. One should not donate things made of leather on this day, doing so will cause suffering throughout life.
Do not donate vengeful things even by mistake on the day of Mauni Amavasya, otherwise you may have to face sorrows. Avoid donating black colored things on this day. Donating these things on Amavasya day creates negativity and one has to suffer throughout life.
