Jammu . Multi security arrangements are being made for the annual Amarnath Yatra and more than 180 companies of paramilitary forces have been deployed in Jammu region. The officers provided this information. The annual Amarnath Yatra will begin on July 3 from the two routes Anantnag district, a 48 -km long traditional Pahalgam route and a 14 -km long but more steep -climbing Baltal route in Ganderbal district.
“The administration is ready and committed to ensure a successful journey this year. Jammu and Kashmir Police has made multi -layered security arrangements for the journey,” told reporters. Tutti, who presided over a high -level meeting organized to review the system including security for the journey along with Jammu’s Divisional Commissioner Ramesh Kumar, said, “The way we have been providing security in previous years, this year is being made even better, whether it is the number of paramilitary forces, deployment in sensitive areas or CCTV monitoring than before.
In response to a question asked about the deployment of forces for traveling in the region, he said, “Apart from the Jammu and Kashmir Police, more than 180 companies of paramilitary forces have been deployed for the visit.” He said that security forces have been deployed on the Jammu and Kashmir National Highway from Lakhanpur to Banihal. The IGP said, “Complete security arrangements have been made everywhere. CCTV cameras have been installed to monitor the road and where the devotees stay or there are anchors, security has also been provided.”
He said that this time between Lakhanpur to Jammu too, teams will be deployed in advance and monitoring of the entire route, which were not last year. The IGP said that from July 2, the traffic police will issue daily consultation. He said, “The deadline will be fixed at every important place associated with the journey route. All the devotees will need to follow this traffic counsel, so that no one has any problem or trouble during the journey.”
The IGP said that all the pilgrims are advised to join the main convoy which leaves between four and half past four in the morning. He said, traveling separately or alone is not safe. Devotees who travel with the government convoy are given protection and thus it is more safe to travel in an organized manner.
