The nine-day holy festival of Navratri is coming to an end. Mahanavami is being celebrated on 11th October. However, this time Ashtami and Navami Tithi are falling on the same day. Dussehra will be celebrated on 12th October.
On the last day of Navratri i.e. Navami Tithi, Maa Siddhidatri, the ninth power of Maa Durga, is worshipped. This form of Mother Goddess bestows all accomplishments. According to the Puranas, Lord Shiva had attained eight Siddhis only by the grace of Mother Siddhidatri. Due to mother’s grace, half of Lord Shiva’s body became that of a goddess. For this reason he is also called Ardhanarishwar. On the occasion of Mahanavami, chant the Beej Mantra of Maa Siddhidatri. Also wish your family a happy ninth day of Shardiya Navratri and get the blessings of Mother Goddess.
