Shardiya Navratri 2024 October Dates: Navratri is a festival of worship of Goddess Durga. Although there are a total of 4 Navratris in a year, two of which are direct and two indirect. According to Devi Purana, when Navratri begins on Thursday, Mother Bhagwati arrives in a palanquin. Sharadiya Navratri will begin from the Pratipada date of Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month. Navratri will end on Navami on Wednesday, October 11, 2024. Vijayadashami will be celebrated on October 12, 2024.
Worship of nine forms of Maa Durga- This year, Maa Durga will be worshipped for nine days in Navratri. There is a provision of special worship of nine forms of Maa Durga in nine days. It is believed that by fasting for nine days of Navratri, the person will get auspicious results. It brings financial prosperity.
First day of Navratri- The first day of Sharadiya Navratri will be on Thursday, October 3, 2024. There is a tradition of Kalash Sthapana or Ghatasthapana on the first day of Navratri. Mother Shailputri is duly worshipped on the first day of Navratri.
Auspicious time of Ghatasthapana- According to priest Santosh Tripathi, this time the auspicious time of Ghatasthapana will be from 06:14 am to 07:21 am. The duration of Ghatasthapana is 01 hour 06 minutes. The Abhijeet Muhurta of Ghatasthapana will be from 11:45 am to 12:33 pm.
