Anant Chaturdashi, the festival of worship of Lord Vishnu, is on 17 September (Tuesday). It is also known as Anant Chaudas. It is believed that observing a fast on Anant Chaturdashi and worshipping with rituals in the auspicious time removes obstacles in life. On this day, the infinite forms of Lord Vishnu are worshipped. People observe a fast, read the Vrat Katha and tie the Anant Sutra yellow thread. Which has fourteen knots. All wishes are fulfilled by observing a fast on this day and reciting the Sri Vishnu Sahasranama Stotra. This fast is observed with the desire for wealth, prosperity, happiness and children etc. It is believed that on the day of Anant Chaturdashi, after creating the 14 worlds, Lord Vishnu appeared in fourteen forms for its protection and maintenance and began to appear infinite, so Anant Chaturdashi is considered a symbol of the 14 worlds and the 14 forms of Lord Vishnu.
