Bhadohi. With the beginning of the holy Shravan month, Shiva devotees have started reaching the legendary Tileshwar Mahadev Temple in Bhadohi district of Uttar Pradesh. Tileshwar Mahadev Temple located in Tilanga in Bhadohi district between Kashi-Prayag, about 40 km from the district headquarters, has its own historical and mythological Mahamatya. It is said that the amazing Shivling installed in the temple changes color three times a year.
The center of people’s faith with being mythological
Prominent Jyotishacharya and History with Pandit Alok Shastri said that there are many religious temples and heritage in Purvanchal whose history is mythological as well as the center of people’s faith. Out of these ancient and mythological temples and pilgrimage sites, the Shivalinga established in the Tilashwar Nath temple located in Tilanga of Gopiganj area of the district has remained the focal point of the faith of the Sanatanis since ancient times due to changing its form thrice a year.

The Pandava Shivling is famous for changing its form three times in the three seasons of the year. Devotees have immense reverence and faith in this. It is believed that the Pandavas established it during their unknown.
The temple priest Mahadev Gosai told about the secret of Shivling that this Shivling leaves the chapped (upper layer) in the month of Sawan, but he has not been able to get anyone’s hands till date. He told that whatever wish is sought from the true heart, it is definitely fulfilled.
