The festival of Parivartini Ekadashi is celebrated on Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month. This year Parivartini Ekadashi Vrat will be observed on 14th September. This fast is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is believed that on this day Lord Vishnu’s Vaman form is worshipped. It is also said that on this day Lord Vishnu, who has slept for four months, turns over. According to beliefs, worshipping Lord Ganesha along with Vishnu, Shankar and Parvati removes all obstacles in life. The person attains salvation. In many places, it is also called Karma Ekadashi. On this occasion, Lord Vishnu along with Lord Shankar, Mata Parvati and Ganesha are worshipped. Sisters observe fast for their brothers. This day is very important. Because it is not only an opportunity to worship Lord Vishnu, but also to worship Goddess Parvati along with the Tridevas.
Fasting time and Rahukal
Ekadashi fast is observed with rituals. In this fast, the rules of fasting are followed from the night of Dashami Tithi and the next day the fast is observed on Ekadashi and it is broken on the next day on Dwadashi. In this way, the rules of fasting should be followed on all three days. This time Ekadashi Tithi will start on Friday night, 13 September at 10.30 pm, after which the fast will be observed on Udaya Tithi on 14 September. Rahu Kaal on the day of fast is from 09:11 am to 10:44 am. Worship is prohibited during this time. On this day, Patal ki Bhadra is from 09:41 am to 08:41 pm. After this, the next day on 15 September, the fast can be broken by 6.30 am.
