Each face is of different importance and worship of these five faces has different importance. The first face is ‘Aghor’ mouth, which is towards the south. The former face is called ‘Tatpurush’. The answer is the form of ‘Ardhanarishwar’. The western face is called ‘Sadyojat’. The upper part is known as ‘Ishaan’ mouth. This is a formless face. This is considered the best face of Lord Pashupatinath.
The kings of Nepal had invited Indian Brahmins to serve God at Pashupatinath Temple since 1747. First, the South Indian Brahmin was appointed as the priest of the ‘Pashupatinath Temple’. The South Indian Bhatt Brahmins have been appointed as the head priests of this temple, and they have the right to touch the Shivling of Pashupatinath Temple. In 2009, the Maoists entered the Pashupatinath temple and abused them by opposing Indian priests. The matter was a cause of tension between the two countries but the then government of Nepal took it carefully. The tradition of appointment of Indian Bhatt priests in the temple still continues.
Millions of devotees gather on the first Monday of Sawan
In the Pashupatinath temple, there is a surge of devotees throughout the spring, but on the first Monday of this month, lakhs of devotees get influx. In this time, so far, the visit of about 1.5 million devotees is reported to be the highest number of Indians. People come here from every corner of India and perform Jalabhishek of Pashupatinath. For the convenience of devotees, there has been a lot of change in the system here. The visitors do not have any problem at all, it has been taken care of. As before, you cannot see this form of Bholenath without fear. The time of darshan in the temple and the methods of worship are all changed. You have to follow the rules of the temple in the law of worship and worship material. Everything has become more timely.
Rudrabhishek has special significance
Rudrabhishek has special significance in the Pashupatinath temple. Everyone who comes here would definitely like to do Rudrabhishek. There is no VIP visitors in Pashupatinath temple. Even if the biggest man or politician of Nepal comes, there is no disruption in the philosophy of common devotees.
