Lucknow, Amrit Vichar: Pitru Paksha has started from 18th September. In this, people perform rituals like Pinddaan, Shraddha and Tarpan for their ancestors as per the date. It is believed that in the 15 days of Pitru Paksha, the ancestors are satisfied by performing Shraddha rituals with patience and according to the rules and regulations and all kinds of negativity are removed from the house, they attain salvation.
But the rituals performed during Pitru Paksha are considered successful only when they are performed with full rules and caution. Because the mistakes made during this period can make the ancestors angry. Due to this, Pitru Dosh can also occur. Let us know what is necessary to do for Shraddha and what is not.
These 3 things are necessary and 3 things are prohibited-
Trini Shraddhe Pavitrani Dauhitrah Kutpastila.
Vajyarni praah rajendra krodhodhvagamanam twara.
That is, to perform the Shraddha Karma, the son of the grand daughter or one’s own son, the time of Kupat Madhya and the mole are the three most important things. While performing this ritual, you should not get angry, move around too much or hurry. It is important to take your time and stay calm.
Those who perform Shradh should take these precautions
-The person performing Shraddha should not shave his hair or beard during the Pitru Paksha.
-Every day after taking bath, one should offer water to one’s ancestors.
-Do not use things like oil, scrub etc. at this time.
-The person performing the Shraddha should observe complete celibacy.
-In the Pitru Paksha, one should not consume non-vegetarian food, alcohol and things like tubers grown under the ground.
