Because Pradosh falls on Friday, it is called Shukra Pradosh Vrat, so today we are telling you the method of Shiva worship.
Date and time of Pradosh fast-
According to the Hindu calendar, the first Pradosh fast of the month of December will be observed on the Trayodashi date of Shukla Paksha of Margashirsha month. Trayodashi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Margashirsha month is starting on 12th December at 10.26 pm and Trayodashi Tithi will end on 13th December at 7.40 pm. In such a situation, the first Pradosh fast of the month of December will be observed on 13th December.
Auspicious time of worship-
Let us tell you that on the day of Pradosh Vrat on 13th December, Pradosh Kaal will be from 5.26 pm to 7.40 pm. During this time, you can worship Lord Shiva. Since it falls on Friday, it will be called Shukra Pradosh Vrat.
Worship like this on Pradosh Vrat-
On the day of Pradosh Vrat, wake up in the morning and take bath, after that wear clean clothes and keep your mind calm. Then establish Shivlinga at the place of worship and resolve to fast. Now anoint Shivling with Panchamrit. Mix milk, curd, ghee, honey and Ganga water in Panchamrit. Offer Belpatra, Dhatura and white flowers on Shivalinga. At the time of worship, worship Lord Shiva by lighting an incense lamp and then chant the mantra Om Namah Shivay at least 108 times. After the puja is over, perform Aarti of Lord Shiva. At last, offer prasad of white things like kheer to Lord Shiva. It is believed that by worshiping Pradosh Vrat with this method one gets the blessings of Mahadev.
