Lucknow, Amrit Vichar. Navratri is starting from Thursday 3rd October. Keeping this in view, preparations have started. Painting work is going on at a rapid pace in all the temples of the city. The statues are being decorated. The work has been started by selecting a place for lighting decoration and barricading in the premises of Mata temples.
Shops of prasad, chunri, idols and flowers have started setting up outside the temples. To avoid the crowd, devotees have also started purchasing materials for worshiping Maa Durga. At the same time, there is excitement in the markets. In view of the coming crowd of devotees during the days of Navratri, the iconic Durga Mata of many areas including Aminabad, Ganeshganj, Shastri Nagar Durgaji Temple, Siddhanath Temple, Shri Ram Road, Chowk Kaliji Temple, Indiranagar, Bhootnath, Alambagh, Krishnanagar, Aliganj, Purnia, Gomtinagar etc. Arrangements are being made smoothly for the darshan. Let us tell you that auspicious works start with the immersion of ancestors. Keeping this in view, the markets have made preparations.
Sale of worship material and books for recitation begins
Regarding Navratri festival, shops of worship material have started being set up outside all the major markets and temples of the city. Chunari, puja material, Mata’s clothes along with books for lessons, calendars and favorite idols have been decorated at the shops. The statues of Maa Durga carved in stone are attracting the devotees. Goddess idols made of clay are also being installed in shops.
Shops of flowers and garlands were set up around the temples.
Shops of various types of flowers including roses, marigolds and lotus, which are offered to the Mother Goddess, have started being set up around the temple premises.
