Radha Ashtami Upay 2024: Every year the festival of Radha Ashtami is celebrated on the Ashtami date of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month. On this day Lord Krishna and Radha Rani are worshipped. This year Radha Ashtami is on 11 September 2024, Wednesday. This festival is celebrated as the birthday of Radha Rani. On this day some devotees observe fast to please Radha Rani and Lord Krishna. It is believed that by doing some measures on this day, happiness, peace and prosperity comes in life. Know which measures are auspicious to do on Radha Ashtami-
1. Place the idol of Radha-Krishna in the temple facing west. Place a small idol or picture of Bal Krishna or Laddu Gopal on their right hand side.
2. In your temple or any public temple, offer Tulsi garland to God. It is believed that doing so pleases Lord Krishna.
3. Also offer a flute to Krishnaji. This is very auspicious and fruitful.
4. Light a ghee lamp in front of the Lord and chant Shri Krishnam Sharanam Mam.
5. On this day, it is auspicious to bring a stick or branch of a Kadamba tree and keep it in your house or place of worship. This brings peace in the house.
6. Charity on the day of Radha Ashtami is considered auspicious and beneficial. It is believed that donating as per your capacity on this day brings happiness and prosperity in life.
7. Offering rose flowers to Lord Krishna and Radha Rani on the day of Radha Ashtami is considered extremely auspicious. It is believed that doing so ends obstacles in marriage.
8. Chanting the mantra Om Hreem Shree Radhikaye Namah on the day of Radha Ashtami is considered extremely auspicious. It is believed that doing so removes all obstacles in life.
