In the month of Kartik, the crowd has started increasing due to Ahoi Ashtami festival. Ahoi Ashtami bath will take place from 12 o’clock on Thursday night. On the eve of Ahoi Ashtami, Indian and foreign devotees offered prayers at Radhakund and sought blessings. Amidst the cheering, the devotees circumambulated Radharani. Everyone appeared engrossed in the devotion of Radharani.
Thousands of devotees are camped in Radhakund and surrounding areas during Kartik Niyama Seva. As soon as dawn comes, devotees are taking a dip in Radha-Shyam Kund. On Wednesday, local and foreign devotees of ISKCON and Gaudiya sect took parikrama amid Harinam Sankirtan. ISKCON devotees said that Radharani is worshiped by everyone. It is believed that when Radharani is pleased, the devotee resides in the heart of Shri Krishna. Today Radha Shyam Kund accommodates all the pilgrims. Bathing at the time of pilgrimage brings virtue. All devotees wish for the happiness and success of their family.
Radhakripa sarcasm lesson: On the eve of Ahoi Ashtami, devotees are chanting the name of Radha, forgetting their good intentions. Shriradha Kripa Kataksh is being recited. Tirtha priest Jagannath Upadhyay told that bathing in Radha Shyam Kund and donating pentha and makeup has special significance. The wish of childless couples to have a child is fulfilled.
Bathing is done for the child. Devotees who have all the wishes in their mind for the attainment of a child and a happy life for the child, are reaching the shelter of Radha Rani. It is believed that a childless couple takes bath in the Radha-Krishna Kund on the midnight of Ahoi Ashtami. So they get the happiness of having children.
