Rope-way will be established at religious places of Chitrakoot and Mahoba, will promote tourism connectivity

Lucknow, Amrit thoughts. Religious tourism will be developed in the Maharishi Valmiki Ashram located in Chitrakoot and the Siddha Baba temple located on Gorakh Giri Mountains in Mahoba. Under the proposed project, world-class rope-way facility will be set up at both the sites, which will make plans keeping in mind the safety, functionality and durability at the site.

This information was given by Tourism Minister Jayveer Singh on Sunday. He informed that for the convenience of devotees, there is a plan to construct ropeway at Maharishi Valmiki Ashram located at village Bagrehi on Chitrakoot-Prayagraj highway. About 8,920 square meters of land has been identified for this project. This site is associated with Maharishi Valmiki, the author of Ramayana, it is the center of faith for devotees. Currently the base of the hills can be reached through the National Highway-35.

The Tourism Minister informed that similarly the proposed ropeway for Siddha Baba temple will be built on Gorakh Giri mountain in Mahoba village in Bundelkhand area. The ropeway will be constructed to provide access to the temple easily to the temple, for which a total of 9,750 square meters of land has been identified. Both these rope-ways will be designed on the most suitable route, with geographical conditions, weather and seismic conditions, travel patterns and seasonal changes that occur throughout the year.

Jayveer Singh said that Chitrakoot and Mahoba are very important places in religious and cultural terms. Through these rope-way projects, we are facilitating the journey of devotees, but are deepening the spiritual feeling of crores of devotees. It is our endeavor to promote tourism by connecting these sites with modern infrastructure.
