Lucknow, Amrit Vichar: After the matter of adulteration in the laddus of Tirupati temple came to light, the Food Safety and Drug Administration Department has also started investigation in the district. On Saturday, the department’s team took samples from the prasad shops near Hanuman Setu Temple and sent them for testing.
The food flying squad took samples of prasad laddu, peda, barfi and ghee from the shops around Hanuman Dham and Hanuman Setu Mandir. Food safety officers gave necessary information to the food traders under the Food Safety and Standards Act 2006. The team inspected more than 6 shops.
Assistant Commissioner of Food Vijay Pratap Singh said that the prasad shops around all the big temples of the city will be inspected. He said that people also bring prasad to the temple from big establishments. Big establishments will also be inspected. Vinod Kumar, Hemant Kumar, Rajmani Prajapati and Pallavi Tiwari etc. were in the food flying squad.
