When is Vighnaraj Sankashti Chaturthi?
According to the Drik Panchang, the Chaturthi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month will start on 20th September at 09:15 pm. Which will end on 21st September 2024 at 06:13 pm. Therefore, according to Udayatithi, Vighnaraj Sankashti Chaturthi will be celebrated on 21st September. There is also a coincidence of Harshan Yoga on this day. Harshan Yoga is considered good for auspicious works. Harshan Yoga will be formed from 11:36 am on 21st September to 08:18 am on 22nd September.

Puja Samagri List: For the worship of Lord Ganesha, collect all the materials including wooden stand, yellow cloth, fruits, flowers, sacred thread, betel leaf, cloves, cardamom, Gangajal, durva, roli, vermillion, rice, turmeric, mauli, perfume, cow ghee, modak, sugar, camphor etc.
Rituals of Sankashti Chaturthi:
Get up early in the morning on the day of Vikat Sankashti Chaturthi.
After bathing, wear clean clothes.
Clean the temple. Remove stale flowers.
Sprinkle Ganga water in the house and temple.
Spread a red or yellow cloth on a stool.
Install the idol of Ganeshji on it.
Now worship Ganpati Bappa as per the rituals.
Offer fruits, flowers, durva, incense, lamps and offerings to Lord Ganesha.
Chant the seed mantra of Ganeshji ‘Om Gan Ganpataye Namah’.
Offer modaks or laddus to Ganpati Bappa.
Perform the aarti of Lord Ganesha along with all other deities and distribute prasad among people.
