Amrit Vichar, Lucknow: On July 24, on the new moon of Sawan on behalf of Shiva Seva family, on 24 July, Rudrabhishek will be done with Rudraksha. Organizer Amarnath Mishra informed that there will be a program from 10 am at Aishbagh Ramlila Maidan. Devotees will worship 5500 Rudra with the Shiva family at 27 posts. 540 liters of Ganga water has been brought from Rishikesh for Abhishek. Preparation has been going on for a month. Yajaman reserves his own post in advance. A family worships at a checkpoint.

Chief Acharya Shivshankar Pandey said that although Rudrabhishek can be done every day in Sawan, but Krishnapaksha’s Pratipada, Panchami, Ashtami, Amavasya and Shukla Paksha’s Dwitiya Shashthi and Pradosh are considered very auspicious. All wishes are fulfilled by doing Rudrabhishek on this day.
