Every year, devotees of Bholenath or Mahadev eagerly wait for Shravan month i.e. Sawan. According to the scriptures, the month of Sawan is the most loved to Lord Shiva. Every day of Sawan, especially on all Mondays and 16 Mondays of Sawan, worshiping Lord Shiva solves every problem of life. Also, chanting Mahadev’s name in Sawan brings happiness and peace in life. It is believed that Lord Shiva fulfills all the wishes of his devotees in this month.
Sawan 2025 date and day
The month of Sawan in North India is going to start on Friday, July 11, 2025 i.e. today and these auspicious days of Bholenath will end on 9 August, Rakshabandhan. At the same time, in South India and Western India, the auspicious day of Sawan will start from 25 July 2025 and end on 23 August 2025.

Today is the first day of Sawan and these are 4 Muhurtas for worshiping Lord Shiva.
The first worship time is from 4:16 am to 5:04 pm.
The second worship time will be from 8:27 am to 10:06 am.

The fourth Muhurta will be from 7:22 pm to 7:41 pm today.
Must keep every Monday fast from the first day of Sawan. Then, offer water and belpatra on the Shivling in the morning and offer at least milk. Chant Shiva Panchakhara Stotra or Shiva Mantra every morning in the entire Sawan. Only then take refreshments or fruit. Also, wearing Rudraksha in the month of Sawan is considered most suitable.
Precautions of Sawan month (Sawan 2025 Rules)
1. Consumption water in the month of Sawan and do not waste water. 2. Do not consume leafy things in this month. 3. Do not consume stale and heavy food or meat and liquor in this month. 4. Avoid walking in the sun in this month.
Sawan 2025 Importance
The month of Sawan is considered one of the Chaturmas and this month is considered to be of Lord Shiva. According to mythology, it is said that the sea churned in this month and the poison emanating from the sea churning was drank by Lord Shiva. Since then it has been a tradition that water is offered to Lord Shiva in Sawan. By offering prayers in Sawan, devotees get all the fruits of the year.
