The first Pradosh fast of Bhadrapad month is on 31st August. On the day of Shani Pradosh fast, Lord Shiva is worshipped ritually. This worship is done in the evening during Pradosh Muhurta. By observing Shani Pradosh fast and Shiva Puja, a person gets a son. On the day of Pradosh fast, Lord Shankar and Mother Parvati are worshipped ritually. In Pradosh fast, worship during Pradosh period has special importance. By worshipping Lord Shankar and Mother Parvati on the day of Pradosh fast, all kinds of sorrows and pains are removed and life becomes happy.

Pradosh Vrat Puja Method
Get up early in the morning and take a bath.
After taking bath, wear clean clothes.
Light a lamp in the temple at home.
If possible, observe a fast.
Anoint Lord Bholenath with Ganga water.
Offer flowers to Lord Bholenath.
On this day, worship Goddess Parvati and Lord Ganesha along with Bholenath. Lord Ganesha is worshipped before any auspicious work.
Offer food to Lord Shiva. Keep in mind that only satvik things are offered to God.
Do the aarti of Lord Shiva.
Meditate on God as much as possible on this day.

Flowers, five fruits, five dry fruits, gems, gold, silver, dakshina, utensils for worship, Kushasan, curd, pure desi ghee, honey, Ganga water, holy water, five juices, perfume, scented roli, mauli sacred thread, five sweets, bilvapatra, dhatura, bhang, plum, mango buds, barley ears, tulsi dal, mandar flower, raw cow milk, sugarcane juice, camphor, incense, lamp, cotton, malayagiri, sandalwood, makeup material of Shiva and Maa Parvati etc.
