Every year Sharadiya Navratri begins from the Pratipada date of Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month and ends on the Navami date.
During this period, nine different forms of Goddess Durga are duly worshipped and fasts are observed. It is believed that fasting and worshipping during Navratri brings blessings of the Goddess and removes sorrows and troubles. Date and time of Sharadiya Navratri—
According to the Hindu calendar, the Pratipada Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month will start on October 3 at 12:18 am. This Tithi will end on October 4 at 2:58 am. In such a situation, Sharadiya Navratri will begin on October 3. It will end on October 11. The holy festival of Dussehra will be celebrated on the next day i.e. on October 12.
