Lucknow, Amrit Vichar: Sri Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with great pomp in the capital on Saturday. Thousands of ISKCON Temple, Madhav Temple at Daliganj, Khatu Shyam Temple, Radha Raman Bihari Temple, Siddha Shakti Peeth Satya Temple at Indiranagar, Kotweshwar Mahadev Temple arrived in thousands. Tables were also decorated in homes. At 12 o’clock, the atmosphere resonated with conch shells and sounds of hours. Elephants, horse palanquins, Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki, started echoing everywhere. In the Madhav temple, 56 types of bhog were offered by Panchabhishek of Krishna from Srilakshmi Shankha.
The Madhav temple at Daliganj was decorated with flowers and balloons. There was a program to break the Dahi Handi on the Krishna birth anniversary. The women sang hymns. Krishna devotee gathered in Khatu Shyam Temple

Dahi Handi festival celebrated with great pomp in ISKCON temple
The celebration of Dahi Handi was celebrated with great pomp on Sunday to commemorate the Nand Utsav under the guidance of the temple president of Shyam Das at the Radha Raman Bihari Temple (ISKAN) located in Sushant Golf City.
Devotees of Prabhupada Youth Army became the first winner by bursting the matki in the Dahi Handi festival. The team of planetary mothers made Radhika second winner by bursting the matki at the Dahi Handi festival. Ravi Tiwari became the third winner by bursting the matki at the Dahi Handi festival.
Earlier, Krishna Janmashtami Maha Mahotsav was celebrated with great enthusiasm and pomp and show on Janmashtami on Janmashtami in ISKCON. This year’s Krishna birth anniversary was concluded as a unique confluence of devotion, knowledge and karma at Siddha Shakti Peeth Satya Mandir in Indiranagar. It is said that this is the only temple in the world where the script form of Krishna is prestigious. From 31 March 1972, Krishna himself is providing a divine message in the form of Krishna Chetna Avatar Devi Maa.
On the occasion of Janmashtami, grand tableaux based on Krishna’s pastimes were decorated in the Siddha Shaktipeeth Satya Temple and Vishwatma Temple Complex. These amazing decorations brought the devotees to the Dwapara Yuga. The supernatural tableau was unveiled by Divya Shakti Poonam and Yogiraj Abhinav Maharaj.
Worshiping on Krishna Janmashtami in Kotweshwar Mahadev Temple
On Saturday, a special puja was performed in the temple on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami at Kotweshwar Mahadev Temple in Chowk Kotwali. First Krishna ji was bathed. After wearing new clothes, he was specially decorated.
The event was organized under the guidance of Mahant Vishal Gaur of Kotweshwar Mahadev Temple. Mahanta told that Krishna inspires us to move forward with justice, policy, balance, courage and intelligence. Bhajan Kirtan started from the evening in the temple on Janmashtami, which continued till the birth of Krishna i.e. after 12 night.
