It is believed that the statue of Ganesha installed in this temple is full of miracles. The most interesting thing about this statue installed in the Ganesh temple at Fatehpur Gate of the city centuries ago is that this statue is made of soil. The place where this statue is installed receives a lot of rain during the monsoon season. Due to which water reaches the temple and the Ganesh statue is completely submerged in water. But still this statue has not been melted till date. Talking about the history of the melting temple even after being immersed in water, this statue installed in the temple located near Fatehpuri Gate reached the city of Patoda and Kasli in ancient times in the city of Sikar.
Historian Mahavir Puropit says that Rao Raja Devi Singh of Sikar brought Ganesha’s statue from Kasli to Sikar after defeating Purna Singh, the ruler of his enemy Kasli princely state. Sikar was ruled by Raja Devi Singh in 1840. At that time, the ruler of the princely state of Kasli was very powerful and arrogant. He attacked the fort complex on the fort complex of Nani village of Sikar several times with his spear, causing the soldiers to terrorize and challenged the king of Sikar for the war. The cannon shells were also neutralized and fed up with the egoistic ruler of Kasli, Purna Singh, the soldiers posted at Nani Gate told the whole thing to Raja Devi Singh. At this, the king sent one of his trusted soldiers to convince the ruler of Kasli.
The ruler of Kasli killed him at that time, angry that Raja Devi Singh attacked the Kasli kingdom. Cannon shells were also fired on the state, which proved to be ineffective. Still, the king of Sikar attacked Kasli several times, but every time he had to face defeat. After this, when Sikar Raja found out the reason for this, it was found that there is a miraculous statue of Ganesha in Kasli state, which removes the crises on Kasli state. Due to which the bullets fired in the war are also proving to be ineffective.
Sikar was brought from Kasli after winning the war
After knowing this, Raja Devi Singh consulted Rajpurohit and Pandits in this matter. On his advice, he prayed in the battlefield and prayed to please Lord Ganesha. The king of Sikar prayed to Lord Ganesha for victory in the war to punish Purna Singh, the ruler of Kasli kingdom for his ego and his commander. After which the king of Sikar attacked Kasli and conquered the war. After this, the Kasli kingdom was included in the Sikar state and this miraculous statue of Lord Ganesha, obtained from Kasli, was installed in front of Sikar Fort near Fatehpur Gate. That is why Fatehpuri Gate is also known as Vijay Ganesh. From then till today, the faith of the first revered Lord Ganesha established in Fatehpur Gate of Sikar city kept increasing.
