Kant/Shahjahanpur, Amrit Vichar: After worshiping the famous Durga Devi temple of Kurria Kalan in the region, the temple priest opened at four in the morning after offering prayers on Monday. As soon as the kapat opened, the devotees flocked to the darshan of the mother. Everyone wanted to see the mother first. Shahjahanpur District Magistrate Dharmendra Pratap Singh, Police Captain Rajesh Dwivedi, Progressive Farmer, including all political personalities and administrative officials reached the first day of opening the kapat in the court of Mother.
In view of the crowd in the temple, the police had to struggle a lot to maintain peace. The outpost incharge was constantly monitoring the fair. People from far and wide were waiting for the temple to open from the night outside the temple, as soon as the temple’s doors opened, all the people ran to see the mother shouting the mother.
Outside the temple, the barber people were performing mundan rites of children. Those who had sought a vow for their children in the court of the mother, they were getting their children shaved. After visiting the mother, women and children bought the same as their needs at the fair, the most crowds were seen on bangles shops, and swings. While women were buying colorful bangles, the children were enjoying the swing.
Kurria Kalan, 14 km from Kant
Gurudev Dixit, the priest of the ancient Devi temple at Kurria Kalan, said that at the conclusion of Chaitra Navratri, the doors of the temple have been opened at 4 am on Monday, April 7, for the devotees. Devotees will be able to see the mother from one o’clock in the afternoon and from four in the evening to 8:30 pm.
Temple opens six days a year
The only Devi temple in the state is located in Kurria Kalan, which opens only six days in a year. At the conclusion of Chaitra Navratri, the temple opens for only three days and at the conclusion of Navratri of the month of Quar month. The rest of the year the doors of the temple are closed for the general public. Everyday worship in the temple is done by the priest of the temple. During the three -day goddess darshan, thousands of devotees from the district as well as many districts come here to recite the puja. The deep faith of the people is attached to this temple.
