In the scriptures, vermilion has been described as very mandatory for women after marriage, it is not only considered to be associated with the long life of the husband, but is also said to be an indicator of increasing the love between husband and wife. According to the scriptures, whenever women apply vermillion, they must meditate on Mother Parvati because Mother Parvati gives the blessing of unbroken good fortune.
Generally you must have seen that husbands fill the hair of their wives only on the wedding day, after that women apply vermilion with their hands, but in between or on special days like Karva Chauth, Vat Savitri Vrat, women have to fill the hair of their husbands. Sindoor should be applied by hand. This increases the love between the two.
Do not apply vermillion on wet hair
Often women apply vermillion immediately after washing their hair, but this is considered inappropriate according to the scriptures. Doing this may spread the vermilion. This gives rise to negative thoughts and the husband may have to face problems like financial loss.
If while the husband is filling vermillion in the mang, it falls on the nose or forehead, then it is considered auspicious. This means that there is great love in the relationship between husband and wife and there will be improvement between the two. Apart from this, you must have also heard people saying that vermilion should always be applied with the right hand only. This is said because applying vermillion with the left hand is considered inauspicious and doing so can bring negative energy into life.
