Today we are talking about the Vidhata Mata, who are known by different names in different places like Bamata, Bhav Mata, Vidhatri Devi, Chhathi Maiya or Shashthi Mata. According to folk beliefs, the mother writes an account of her fate on the sixth day of the birth of the baby.
Temple is located here
A famous temple of Vidhata Devi is established in Ujjain “Nagari of Mahakal”. This temple is located in the street of Magarmuha near Patni Bazaar, whose history is considered about 1500 years old. This temple has an idol of about two and a half feet tall of the goddess, which is considered a self -proclaimed idol.
If the mother has a cranial in the opposite hand, then the pen is visible directly in her hand. Two messengers are also sitting around them, one of whom is named Chitra and the other is secret. It is believed that whenever a child is born, both these messengers inform the mother.
Devotees come with their children
The Vidhata Mata is also mentioned in Avantika Purana with Goddess Bhagwat and Durga Saptashati. The mythological name of Vidyata Mata is Vidya Devi. It is believed that on the sixth day of birth, Mother writes the fate of children. This is the reason that devotees from far and wide come to this temple to seek the blessings of the Goddess, so that their child gets good luck.
This is how the idol was found
It is believed that a devotee appeared in a dream by the mother and indicated that this place is an idol. After this, when the excavation took place, an idol of Vidhata Devi was found here, after which she was installed at the same place and the temple was built. Since then this temple is located here.
