UP Kawad Yatra: Now shopkeepers will have to display the name of the shop, it will have to be mandatory, you will be able to get information from QR code

Lucknow, Amrit Consideration: A new rule for shops has been implemented on the Kavad Yatra route. Now it will be necessary to write the name of the shop instead of the names of the shopkeepers. If a customer wants the shopkeeper’s information, he will be able to get it through a special app. For this, the Food Safety and Drug Administration Department (FSDA) has issued a form.

Although it was said earlier to showcase the names of shopkeepers at the shops of Kavad Yatra route, there is no such provision in FSDA rules. Even after many efforts, it could not be arranged. Therefore, the department has adopted a new method and has prepared a feedback form for customer satisfaction, which each shopkeeper will have to put on his shop.

The shop license number, name, address, mobile number and email ID (if available) will be recorded in this form. Also, it will have a toll-free number and the QR code of the food safety connect app. Customers will be able to get all the information related to the shop and shopkeeper by scanning the QR code and will be able to register their opinion or complaint.

Quick settlement of adulteration complaint

Customers will also be able to file complaints related to adulteration through the app. They have to tell what they bought from the shop and which foods are suspected of adulteration. As soon as the complaint is uploaded, the team of the department will get information. The control room will inform the food inspector of the area who will immediately examine the food item. If adulteration is confirmed in the initial investigation, the related foods will be destroyed.

Steps for awareness

The Food Safety and Drug Administration Department (FSDA), which was usually indifferent to food investigation, has now become active. Concrete steps have been taken to prevent increasing incidents of adulteration in the state. Awareness campaigns will be conducted to prevent adulteration at Kawad Yatra routes and religious places. Devotees will be told how to find out adulteration in food items. For this, the mobile van of the department will also be deployed, where people will be able to get the food items checked themselves.
