Jammu. After a landslide on the new track of Mata Vaishno Devi temple located in the Trikuta hills of Katra town of Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, it remained closed for the second day on Tuesday and the helicopter service remained postponed due to fog. Officials said here that due to heavy rains near Hemkoti, a new track was closed on Monday due to landslides and soil sinking. He said that people and machines are engaged in work to remove debris and travel is not being allowed on the new track. The battery car service running on the new route has also been affected.
Officials said the journey from the old traditional route is running smoothly. He said that the helicopter service from Katra to Sanjhi roof due to dense fog remained postponed for the sixth consecutive day and after the improvement in the weather, the service will start again. After the attack on tourists in Pahalgam in April, Sri Mata Vaishno Devi Tirtha Yatra was affected due to tension on the border from the operation vermilion launched by India but it has improved in June.
