When is Vamana Jayanti?

According to the Drik Panchang, the Dwadashi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month will start from 08:41 pm on 14th September to 06:12 pm on the next day i.e. 15th September 2024. Therefore, according to the Udayatithi, Vaman Jayanti will be celebrated on 15th September. At the same time, Shravan Nakshatra will be from 08:32 PM on 14th September to 06:49 PM on the next day i.e. 15th September.

Method of worship:

Wake up early in the morning on the day of Vamana Jayanti.

After bathing, wear clean clothes.

Install the idol of Lord Vishnu in his Vamana form in the temple at home.

Bathe Lord Vaman with Panchamrit.

Offer them basil leaves.

Offer fruits, flowers, incense, lamps and offerings to Lord Vishnu.

Chant Vishnu Sahasranama, Vaman Stotra and Vishnu Mantras during the puja.

According to beliefs, on this day the fasting person should feed food to Brahmins.

On this auspicious day, charitable acts are also considered to be auspicious and fruitful.
