It is believed that if the Vastu of the house is correct, positive energy flows in life and there is an atmosphere of happiness in family life. According to Vastu, the puja room in the house should be according to the rules of Vastu. This increases positive energy in the house. The rules of Vastu related to the temple have been mentioned in the book Griha Nirman Vivechan written by Dr. Nandan Kumar Tiwari, Assistant Professor and Coordinator of the Department of Astrology of Uttarakhand Open University. Let us know the Vastu tips related to the puja room…
What should be the architecture of the temple?
According to Vastu Shastra, the temple in the house should be constructed in the north-east corner.
In Vaastu, Lord Shiva is considered to be the lord of the north-east corner, who blesses with education and knowledge.
On festivals and special occasions group prayers, havans and other auspicious functions are organized in the courtyard of the house.
In astrology, the courtyard is considered to be the place of Lord Brahma, from whose mouth all the four Vedas were preached.
For regular worship, a prayer room should be built in the northeast corner. In Vaastu, this direction is considered the purest and most sacred.
According to Vastu, the idol or statue of gods and goddesses should be kept near the east or north wall in the puja room.
It is considered appropriate to place the idol of the deity on a wooden stand or throne.
According to Vastu, the idol or statue of the deity in the eastern or northern part of the temple should not face north, because by doing so, the worshipper will face south.
In Vaastu, worshiping facing south is not considered auspicious.
Along with this, temple should also not be constructed in the southern direction.
Toilet and bathroom should not be constructed around or above or below the prayer room.
According to Vastu, the place for keeping the lamp and the havan kund in the home temple should be in the south-east corner.
