According to the Hindu calendar, the festival of Basant Panchami is celebrated every year on the fifth day of Shukla Paksha of Magh month. In the year 2025, Panchami Tithi of Magh month is starting from 9.14 am on 2nd February which will continue till 6.52 am the next day i.e. on 3rd February. This year the festival of Saraswati Puja i.e. Basant Panchami will be celebrated on 2 February. Basant Panchami is also known as Saraswati Puja, Shri Panchami and Shri.

According to the Panchang, the time available for Saraswati Puja on the day of Basant Panchami is 3 hours 26 minutes. In such a situation, it will be beneficial to perform Saraswati Puja between 9.14 am to 12.35 am on February 2.
