What to do and what not to do on Rishi Panchami day-
On the day of Rishi Panchami, wake up early in the morning and take a bath and then wear clean clothes. Now place a pot filled with Gangajal on a stool. After this, place the idol of the Sapta Rishis and offer incense, lamp, and naivedya. Chant mantras and listen to the story on the day of Rishi Panchami. Donations must be given to the poor on this day.
Keeping a fast on this day is also considered auspicious. Apart from this, if possible, take a bath in the Ganga. Keep purity in mind on this day and do not commit any kind of sin. Tamasik things should not be consumed on Rishi Panchami day. Avoid negative thoughts on this day. Apart from this, one should not lie. Anger should be avoided. Do not do any immoral work.
