Mahanavami is on 11th October-
This time Mahanavami fast will be observed on 11th October. According to various calendars, this time despite the increase of Chaturthi Tithi and decline of Navami Tithi, the entire Paksha will be of 15 days and Navratri will be of nine days. Devotees will recite for nine days. But, the date is 10th October. Maha Ashtami and Navami will be worshiped on 11th October. According to the scriptures, fasting on Maha Ashtami is considered prohibited when Saptami and Ashtami coincide. 10th is both Saptami and Ashtami.
