Sankashti Chaturthi date and puja time-
According to the Hindu calendar, the Chaturthi Tithi of Pausha month is starting from 10:06 AM on Wednesday, 18th December and will end the next day i.e. Thursday, 19th December at 10:02 AM. Due to the puja taking place during Nisha period, the fast of Sankashti Chaturthi will be observed on 18th December only. Sankashti Chaturthi is also known as Akhurath Sankashti Chaturthi.

On the day of Sankashti Chaturthi, wake up in the morning and take bath, after which wear clean clothes. After cleaning the house, place a stool and install the idol of Lord Ganesha. Resolve to fast. Offer Roli, sandalwood, akshat, flowers, vermillion and durva to Lord Ganesha and offer modak to Lord Ganesha during the puja.

After this, chant the mantra Om Gan Ganapate Namah 108 times. Offer Shami leaves to Lord Ganesha, doing this will remove all the sorrows and problems. To get rid of money related problems, light a four-sided lamp in front of Lord Ganesha on this day. There is benefit in doing this.
