When is Saptami?

In Hindu religion, Navratri fast is observed according to Udaya Tithi. This year, Chaturthi Tithi is increasing on Navratri, due to which Chaturthi fast is being observed for two days. Navratri will last for 9 days. Panchami Tithi is being observed on 7th October at 9.47 am. Panchami Tithi is on 8th October till 11.17 pm. According to Drig Panchang, the fast on the fifth day of Navratri will be observed on 8th October only. Shashthi Tithi will be on 9th October. Saptami is on 10th October.

When is Ashtami and Navami?

Quoting various almanacs, astrologer Pt. Mohan Kumar Dutt Mishra and priest of Sohasarai Sridurga Temple Pt. Surendra Kumar Dutt Mishra say that this time, despite the increase of Chaturthi Tithi and the decline of Navami Tithi, the entire Paksha will last for 15 days and Navratri will last for nine days.
