When does Ganesh Chaturthi start?
According to the Drik Panchang, the Chaturthi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month will start on 06 September at 03:01 PM and will end on the next day i.e. 07 September at 05:37 PM. Therefore, keeping in mind the Udayatithi, Ganeshotsav will start from 07 September.
Midday Ganesh Puja Muhurta: As per Drik Panchang, the auspicious time for midday Ganesh Puja on this day will be from 11:03 AM to 01:34 PM.
Time for forbidden Chandra Darshan: According to Drik Panchang, Chandra Darshan will be forbidden from 09:30 AM to 08:45 PM on 07 September. Chandra Darshan is forbidden on Ganesh Chaturthi. It is believed that Chandra Darshan on this day leads to false accusation or stigma.
Method of worship of Ganesh Chaturthi:
Get up early in the morning on Ganesh Chaturthi. Take a bath and wear clean clothes.
Clean the temple in your house. Spread a red cloth on a stool.
Now in the auspicious time, install the idol of Ganeshji in the east or north direction.
Install Riddhi-Siddhi along with the idol of Lord Ganesha.
Now offer all the worship materials to Lord Ganesha, including turmeric, durva, perfume, modak, sandalwood, Akshat.
Offer incense and lamp to Lord Ganesha and perform aarti of all gods along with Lord Ganesha.
During the puja, you can chant the seed mantra of Lord Ganesha ‘Om Gan Ganpataye Namah’.
