Not breaking the fast within Dwadashi Tithi is not considered auspicious. Ekadashi fast should also not be broken during Hari Vasara. Vishnu devotees who are fasting should wait for Hari Vasara to end before breaking the fast. Hari Vasara is considered to be the first one-fourth of Dwadashi Tithi. The most auspicious time to break the fast is in the morning. If someone is not able to break the fast in the morning due to some reasons, then he should break it after midday.
