In Savitri fast, married women take bath and make up and worship the tree in summer without consuming food and water. In Savitri Vrat, there is a tradition of tying raw yarn thread around the trunk of banyan tree 7 times, which all women follow with full faith.
But after all, we know the reason why it is tied to the tree only 7 times. Also, the plagues that come on her husband are postponed. This fast is associated with the story of Satyavan Savitri.
