Shaligram is considered a form of Lord Vishnu. This is the reason that worship of Shaligram ji has special significance on this day. It is believed that worshiping Shaligram brings happiness and prosperity in the house and fulfills all wishes. Apart from this, one of the main reasons for worshiping Shaligram ji is that they are the form of Lord Vishnu.
When Lord Vishnu moves to Yoganidra, he is worshiped as Shaligram in his physical absence. Also, all the deities reside in Shaligram ji, so worshiping them brings the grace of all the gods.
Devshayani Ekadashi 2025 Puja Method
Wake up early in the morning and take a bath.
Wear yellow clothes.
Install Shaligram ji on the altar.
Bath with Panchamrit.
After this, offer them sandalwood, roli, akshat, yellow flowers, Tulsi Dal, incense and lamps.
Offer yellow sweets, fruits and panchamrit.
Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevaya or ॐ Vishnave Namah Mantra 108 times.
Perform Aarti of Lord Shaligram. Distribute prasad to everyone after worship. Stay away from tamasic things.
