Let us tell you that on the day of Kartik Purnima, wake up in the morning and take bath etc. After this, wear clean clothes and clean the house and the place of worship thoroughly. On this day, people go to the Ganga ghats and take bath, donate lamps etc., but if you cannot go to the Ganga ghats, then take bath by mixing Ganga water in the bath water. After this, light a ghee lamp in front of the idol of Lord Vishnu and worship him duly. Satyanarayan fast is also observed on this day.
On this date, you can worship Satyanarayan anytime and offer Panchamrit and Panjiri to Lord Vishnu. Chant Vedic mantras. Now offer Arghya to the moon at night. Perform Aarti by reciting Satyanarayan Katha. Decorate the house with lamps and donate lamps at the temple and Ganga Ghat. On this day, one should avoid vengeful things.
