Offline registration for the Amarnath Yatra starting from July 3 has started. The registration process is going on for the devotees who have not yet registered online. Registration at the centers set up by the administration started on Monday (June 30) and a large number of devotees have reached the special center on the first day. The Amarnath Yatra will begin on 3 July from Baltal and Pahalgam route. The Baltal route is 14 km long, but it has a standing climb. Because of this, this route is not for the elderly. At the same time, the distance of Amarnath cave via Pahalgam is 48 kilometers.
How to register?
Do not worry if you want to come on Shri Amarnath Yatra and have missed the registration. Registration will start in Jammu from Monday. You can register for the journey on the basis of first come. Immediate registration counters have been set up in Jammu city. The first batch of devotees will leave on 2 July and the yatra will begin on 3 July. Medical certificate, 4 passport size photo, Aadhaar card, RFID card, travel application form will have to be kept during the journey.
Where are the token centers?
Saraswati Dham near Jammu railway station: From here, devotees have to take tokens first. Medical checkup is mandatory for taking tokens, after which tokens are issued for registration.
Vaishnavi Dham, Jammu: Major center of offline registration for common devotees. After receiving the token, devotees can register here.
Panchayat Bhawan Mahajan, Jammu: This is also an offline registration center for common devotees.
E-KYC Center, Railway Station and Base Camp Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu: Specially designed registration centers for saints, where e-KYC and RFID card related procedures are completed.
Nominated bank branches across the country: More than 533 bank branches across the country have been nominated for offline registration, including 309 branches of Punjab National Bank, 99 branches of State Bank of India, 91 branches of Jammu and Kashmir Bank and 34 branches of Yes Bank.
How to register offline?
For offline registration, devotees will have to bring Aadhaar card, passport size photo, medical fitness certificate (from a doctor authorized by SASB) and other identity documents (eg voter ID or PAN card). After taking tokens in Jammu, registration can be completed by submitting a medical certificate and other documents at the prescribed center. Registration Fee: Offline registration fees for Indian citizens are Rs 120 per person and Rs 220 per person online.
Devotees are not afraid of attack
Talking about the fear of the Pahalgam attack, a devotee who came to the center for registration said, “This time people are excited. There is no fear. The arrangements are good. The administration is with us.” Another devotee said, “You can see enthusiasm among people. I trust Amarnath. We (terrorists) do not care what they want. I want to request all people to come to Jammu and Kashmir so that our army and government can say that we are not affected by their (terrorists) works.” CRPF made a special plan
Prior to the Amarnath Yatra, CRPF has launched a strong multi-level security scheme on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) to ensure the safety of pilgrims. The Jammu-Srinagar highway is one of the important routes for thousands of pilgrims. CRPF has increased vigilance, the important route used by thousands of pilgrims has deployed K-9 (dog) squad with its personnel on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway and strengthened patrolling on the highway, paying special attention to sensitive areas such as Udhampur sector.

SDM Jammu South Manu Hansa said, “We welcome all Amarnath devotees here. We have started a token center in Saraswati Dham. It is the only token center in Jammu that gives tokens for both Baltal and Pahalgam routes. We have set up 3 centers for registration. The first batch of pilgrims will leave from Jammu Base Camp on July 2, 2025, while the journey will officially begin on 3 July 2025 from both Baltal and Pahalgam routes. Earlier, in a precautionary attempt to ensure security during the upcoming Amarnath Yatra 2025, a joint mock landslide exercise was carried out by the Indian Army, CRPF, Jammu and Kashmir Police and JKSDRF (Jammu and Kashmir State Disaster Response Forces) on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway on Sunday. The purpose of this practice was to assess emergency preparations in the case of landslides or natural disasters during the pilgrimage. The simulation included saving vehicles stranded and providing first aid to injured pilgrims, while safety and disaster response teams efficiently coordinated withdrawal and medical aid.
