Electric Buses List: 11 thousand electric settled in 5 cities of the country is going to be settled very soon, Union Heavy Industries and Steel Minister HD Kumaraswamy said that about 11,000 electric buses will be made available to 5 major cities including Delhi and Bangalore during a scheme. Kumaraswamy said in his statement that a big meeting was held on the introduction of electric buses under this scheme. After which this scheme was implemented.
Union Minister said this
The Union Minister said, after much thinking, the Ministry of Heavy Industries has assured that under the PM e-Drive scheme, about 4,500 will be provided to Bengaluru, 2,000 to Hyderabad, 2,800 to Delhi, 1,000 to Ahmedabad and 600 electric buses to Surat. These electric buses have been brought to the city public transport from Bangalore to Delhi to improve the public transport good, smart, and the rules.

The Union Minister said, “We are not only allocating electric buses, we are shaping the future of India’s transport system with innovation and environmental awareness.” Along with this, he also said, with coordination between the Center and the states of Telangana, Karnataka, Delhi and Gujarat, we are firm to fulfill the PM e-Drive promise. The target of PM e-Drive initiative is to deploy 14,028 electric buses with a total cost of Rs 10,900 crore in a period of two years from April 2024 to March 2026.
