Siddharthnagar News: The huge shortage of fertilizer (fertilizer) between the kharif season in the district has increased the problems of farmers. Sowing work is being affected due to non -availability of fertilizers. On this serious issue, Uttar Pradesh Leader of Opposition and SP MLA from Itwa assembly constituency, Mata Prasad Pandey, on Sunday launched a scathing attack on the state government.
Mata Prasad Pandey issued a video message saying that farmers are not able to receive fertilizer despite standing in lines for hours. There are long queues at government distribution centers, but farmers have to return empty-handed. He also rejected the claims of the district administration, which said that there is no shortage of fertilizer in the district.
The Leader of Opposition said that during the tenure of the Samajwadi Party’s former government, adequate fertilizer was stored from the month of June, due to which farmers did not have any problem at the time of sowing. He alleged that the present BJP government neither made any plan nor did any concrete management about the distribution of manure.
Pandey also clarified that this problem of fertilizer is not limited to Siddharthnagar only, but farmers of all over Uttar Pradesh are affected by it. Complaints of lack of fertilizer by farmers have also come to light from many districts of the state. He alleged that the government is only giving false assurances, while the ground reality is very worrying. He demanded from the government that the supply of fertilizer should be improved soon and strict action should be taken against the careless officials, so that the farmers can get relief on time.
