New Delhi. The new generation Renault Duster has been launched recently, with an attractive SUV design with the Renault badge adding to its appeal. Scheduled to enter the Indian market in 2025, its looks are reminiscent of the new Dacia Duster globally, which now sports Renault’s new logo. The new Renault Duster incorporates extensive SUV elements with a muscular stance. The grille features a large Renault badge, and the lighting signature resembles that of the Bigster concept. Straight lines, V-shaped headlights, thick cladding and a boxy style contribute to its strong presence. The upcoming Duster is expected to see 17 or 18-inch wheels, which will enhance its SUV credentials. Inside, expect a minimalist interior with a new digital instrument cluster and a larger 10-inch touchscreen. It remains a great SUV with ample features.
After entry in the Indian market, this 4343 mm long SUV will compete with cars like Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. While the new Duster will initially be available only with a petrol engine, a mild hybrid and possibly a 4×4 variant may also be offered in India. In the global market, a new full hybrid version with two electric motors is available that promises 80% electric driving in the city and a city-cycling range of 543 kilometres. Additionally, a 4×4 mild hybrid option is also available.
Renault recently announced its plans for India, which include a new SUV and a 7-seater SUV. The new Duster will soon make a comeback in the Indian market and will make its way into the compact SUV segment, which is currently one of the highest performing segments. Although the mild hybrid Duster may arrive first, if a full hybrid version is introduced, it would be a highlight for the car.
