Up news: IAS Anjney Kumar Singh, who came into the discussion by taking strict action against senior Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan, has once again received an extension from the central government. Now he will not go back to his original cadre Sikkim and will continue his service in Uttar Pradesh itself. CM Yogi’s trusted officer
Anjaney Kumar Singh is counted among the famous bureaucrats in Uttar Pradesh. He has been considered one of the most trusted officers of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. This is the reason that on the recommendation of the Yogi government, the Central Government has given him an extension six times so far. This includes four times a year each and twice an extension of six months.
He came to UP on five years of deputation on 16 February 2015. Since then, their services have been continuously increased. This series of their long deputation and frequent extension shows their working style and the trust of the government.
Name in feud with Azam Khan and headlines
Anjaney Kumar Singh made the most headlines when he was posted as the District Magistrate of Rampur. In Rampur, his SP’s strongman Azam Khan started feud. As DM, he took strict action against Azam Khan in land mafia and illegal occupation cases, after which Azam Khan had to go to jail. Due to this action, Anjney Kumar Singh also remained the target of SP President Akhilesh Yadav. Akhilesh Yadav posted several times against him on the social media platform ‘X’.
Responsibility received as Moradabad Commissioner
The Yogi government gave him the responsibility of commissioner of Moradabad division in March 2021, giving a reward of his work. Last year, when his extension was about to end, the Center had re -expanded him, which was fixed by August 14, 2025. This time too, after their service period ended, the new order was waiting, which has now arrived. With this extension, it has been decided that Anjneya Kumar Singh will continue to play an important role in the administrative system of Uttar Pradesh for some time.
