Rajiv gandhi jayanti: Congress workers and leaders organized programs on the occasion of the 81st birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. His birth anniversary was celebrated as Sadbhavana Day. The event started on Wednesday at the statue of Rajiv Gandhi at Kalidas Square and Rajiv Chowk Mall Avenue. Former MP PL Punia and former MLA Shyam Kishore Shukla paid floral tributes and paid tribute.
Rajiv Gandhi remembered
Senior Congress leaders participated in the seminar held in the state Congress office. Former MP PL Punia described Rajiv Gandhi as a peacemaker in his address. He said that Rajiv Gandhi laid special emphasis on national unity, communal harmony and peaceful coexistence. Former MLAs Satish Ajmani, Shyam Kishore Shukla, former member Legislative Council Deepak Singh and other senior leaders also expressed their views in the seminar.
Blood donation camp organized
State Congress President Ajay Rai said in his address that Rajiv Gandhi did historical works to make democracy strong and inclusive. To empower the youth, the voting age was reduced from 21 years to 18 years. Which gave crores of youth an opportunity to participate in the democratic process for the first time. To make Sadbhavana Day meaningful, a free medical camp and blood donation camp was organized by the Medical Cell at the State Congress office.
Paramedical staff honored
About 25 specialist doctors consulted more than 1000 in the camp organized under the supervision of Medical Cell Chairman Dr. Jiyaram Verma. During this time free medicines and blood tests were done. At the same time, 103 people donated blood in the blood donation camp, including many party officials and activists like Dr. Azad Baig, Dr. Amit Kumar Rai and Anamika Yadav. At the conclusion of the camp, State President Ajay Rai honored doctors and paramedical employees by offering shawls and insignia.

In the presence of Sushil Tiwari, president of Uttar Pradesh Congress Seva Dal Madhyan, a tree plantation program was held at Lucknow Mantessari College. College Principal and teachers were also present. On the instructions of All India Mahila Congress Committee President Alka Lamba, under the Priyadarshini Udaan Yojana, Mahila Congress Central Zone President Mamta Chaudhary Coordinator Anamika Yadav distributed sanitary napkins in slums, which was aimed at promoting women’s health resolution.
