Rajiv Gandhi birth anniversary: Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee Kaka Medical Cell will organize a medical camp on the occasion of the 81st birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi (Sadbhavana Day). The camp will be held on 20 August 2025 in the Lucknow office of the State Congress Committee. Addressing the press conference held at the State Congress office, Dr. Jiyaram Verma, Chairman of the Medical Cell has given information.
Blood donation camp will be organized
Dr. Jiyaram Verma said that in the camp, the needy will be given consultation and medicines by doctors to the needy including poor, laborers, farmers, women and children. In this camp, about 20 to 25 specialist doctors will serve at the camp. Medicines such as allopathy, Ayurvedic, Homeopathic and Unani will be made available. Apart from this, blood donation camp will be organized. Where party officials and workers will donate blood for the needy. During this, Manish Srivastava Hindavi and spokesperson Dr. Sudha Mishra were also present during this period.
Government surrounds health services
Questioning the health arrangements of the present government, Dr. Baig said that the government has completely failed to provide health services. Referring to the Korona period, he said that the ministers and MLAs lost their lives due to lack of health services and countless deaths of the general public. He gave an example of an incident at Bijnor District Hospital, saying that the patient died of dialysis after going to power. He said that all these examples show that the claims of the government in the name of health in the state are hollow.
Medical cell’s upcoming plans
Dr. Azad Baig said that the Congress Medical Cell will provide health services to distant villages and settlements. Where the government is failing. The Congress organization across the state will provide medical services to the needy through health camps. He said that the medical cell will work to protect the interests of doctors, which includes better workplace, security, proper salary and training opportunities. Apart from this, the cell will also insist on ensuring accessible and affordable medical facilities for citizens, especially weaker sections.
