Lucknow News: The Lucknow Police sent an anonymous letter to the owner and doctor of SCC Hospital and arrested 2 vicious accused seeking ransom of 20 lakhs on Monday and made a big disclosure. It is said that the accused arrested by the police in this case are employees of the railway department, who made this plan due to old enmity and financial constraints from the doctor. Krishnanagar police of Lucknow arrested both accused named Umesh Kumar Maurya and Sujit Kumar Lodhi from Alambagh railway colony with the help of CCTV footage, technical surveillance and manual intelligence. According to the police, both the accused are posted as technicians in the railway workshop. The arrest took place from Teddy Pulia area.
The story of rivalry started with billing and treatment reached the ransom
Investigation revealed that Umesh Maurya’s mother and wife were treated in this hospital. He had an argument with Doctor Devesh Rajani for treatment and billing. Due to the burden of old enmity and loan, Umesh, along with Sujit, planned to demand a ransom of Rs 20 lakh. After writing a letter, it was reached from an e-rickshaw driver to the hospital.
Police searched more than 300 CCTV to disclose the case
After receiving the ransom letter, when the police complained to the police, the police investigated more than 300 CCTV footage and analyzed technical evidence. The e-rickshaw driver also identified the accused. With the help of police readiness and electronic surveillance, both the accused were caught in a short time. Police said that the arrested accused Umesh Maurya has already registered a case in serious sections including murder. The police is now investigating whether the accused have committed such crimes before.
