Maruti suzuki e vitara: Recently revealing new information about E Vitara, Suzuki has now announced that her first electric SUV will come with a 10 -year battery warranty in global markets. Most EV manufacturers offer an 8 -year warranty on the battery pack as standard, although some companies have offered warranties of 10 years or more. It remains to be seen whether Maruti Suzuki will also give a 10 -year battery warranty in India. In India, Mahindra has announced a lifetime warranty on the battery pack for the first owners of BE 6 and XEV 9E.
Tremendous features will be available in the car
Electric SUVs launched globally last year will be sold in global markets with two battery pack options and front- and all-wheel drive configuration. The Indian market will also get both battery pack options, although all-wheel drive is likely to be released. Talking about the battery, E Vitara will be offered with 49 kwh or 61 kwh battery pack option. Both have lithium-poro-pesphate (LFP) chemistry. The first one will be introduced only in front-wheel drive species, while the latter will get an all-wheel drive option in global markets.
Battery life will be tremendous
The single-motor 49 kwh variant is good for 142 bhp and 192.5 Nm, while 61 kwh packs with a single-motor set-up added up to 172 bhp. At the same time, the all-wheel drive gives the maximum power of 181 bhp and 300 Nm. Talking about the range, 49 kwh E Vitara’s WLTP range is up to 346 km, while 61 kwh pack increases it by 428 km. The range of 61 kwh AWD variant is up to 412 km. E Vitara is soon set to start production at the Maruti Suzuki plant in Gujarat. It is expected to be launched in India in the coming months.
