Matter ara electric motorcycle: Electric vehicle manufacturer Matter has announced to introduce its Aira electric motorcycles in eight more cities in India. Aira will be available in Pune, Delhi, Chennai, Coimbatore, Mumbai, Jaipur, Surat and Rajkot in the coming 45 days. Customers of these cities can book motorcycles through the company’s official website or e-commerce platform Flipkart.

Aira is available in two variants: Aira 5000 and Aira 5000+. The first variant is priced at Rs 1.74 lakh, while the second variant is priced at Rs 1.84 lakh (both ex-showroom). Both versions are equipped with 5 kwh battery packs, providing a range of 178 km on a once charge under IDC test standards. There is a motor of an 11.5 kW power to power the motorcycle, which enables it to catch a speed of 0 to 40 kmph in 2.8 seconds and reach the top speed of 105 kmph. The motor has been paired with a 4-speed hyperster manual transmission, while there are four riding modes: Eco, City, Sport and Park Assist.

Talking about the features, Aera has a 7-inch touchscreen display that manages riding mode and supports smartphone connectivity for navigation, over-the-air updates, music and call control and rider analytics. Mattervars Mobile App provides additional facilities such as remote lock/unlock, live vehicle data, geo-fencing and ride control. The motorcycle also includes the Smart System. Era has a 17 -inch tubeless tires and its curb weight is 168 kg, while the seat height is 790 mm. Matter is offering a standard warranty of three years or 45,000 km on both motorcycles and its battery pack.
