MG Astor Facelift: Seeing the increasing popularity of hybrid engines, MG Motors has unveiled its Astor facelift globally. It is sold in international markets under the name ZS HEV. British automaker JSW MG Motors introduced the Astor SUV facelift globally on 26 August. After which many features related to this SUV have been revealed. Many changes have been made in the facelift version of this SUV. Now it is expected that the facelift Astor is going to make its presence felt in the Indian market soon. This popular SUV has been equipped with a new hybrid powertrain and ADAS technology.
Astor Facelift Design
Talking about the design language of the new Astor facelift introduced in the global market, this SUV has a newly designed bumper, which makes the SUV more aggressive than before. Apart from this, this SUV gets features like a wide, black mesh front grille, sleek wraparound headlamps and updated air intake.
Astor Facelift Features
MG’s new hybrid engine-equipped Astor has received the latest design update, with alloy wheels and new wheel arches to make it look attractive. The rear part shares the look of the old BMW X1, which has newly designed taillights and a new bumper. It has features like automatic headlights and keyless entry, 2 cupholders below, new gear lever, 12.3-inch infotainment display, 7.0-inch instrument cluster. The center console in the cabin of MG’s upcoming vehicle is now equipped with a vertical wireless charging pad, while the start and stop button is also located in the console.
Astor Facelift Powertrain
Talking about the details of the power train included in NG’s Astor SUV car equipped with hybrid technology, the engine is mated to a 1.83kWh battery pack and a 100kW electric motor. Which proves to be helpful in providing a combined power output of 192bhp. Also, a 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder petrol engine has been included in it. It is equipped with the capacity to generate 101bhp of power and 250Nm of torque.
Astor Facelift Price
Whether the Astor facelift will be offered with a hybrid powertrain in the Indian market or not has not been officially shared yet. But due to the increasing demand for hybrid vehicles in the Indian market, it is expected that it will be launched in India and its starting price can be around Rs 10.5 lakh ex-showroom.
